Nike to host Moya tennis clinic in Chennai on 5th January 2005
Nike, the world's largest sports and fitness company, is organising
an exclusive tennis clinic with Carlos Moya for forty children at
the Presidency Club in Chennai on January 5, 2005. Moya, currently
ranked 4th in the world, is fresh from his triumph over Andy Roddick
in the Davis Cup, which helped Spain in their win over USA.
The Nike-Moya Tennis Clinic complements the efforts of the company
in promoting tennis among the youth and underscores its commitment
to developing the sport in India. Earlier this year, Nike had organised
the Nike Junior Tour in India along side 20 other countries in the
world.
Registration for the 'Nike-Moya Tennis Clinic' starts on December
22nd and closes on December 28th, 2004. The registration forms for
the event will be available at Sports Locker (Khader Nawaz Khan
Road) and Nike stores on Nungambakkam High Road and Spencers Plaza.
Nike retailers in Chennai will also carry a special collection of
tennis apparel, footwear and accessories to coincide with the clinic.
Forty lucky tennis enthusiasts will be selected from the registrations
received and the children attending the clinic will get first hand
tips from the former world number one. The event promises to be
a fantastic opportunity for the children to exhibit their skills
and take Moya's advice on improving their game. There will be an
interactive session where Moya will share his experiences and the
participants can ask him questions about the game.
