Erisa Neogy is a Luthier.
We now offer to discerning connoisseurs, bespoke Erisa Neogy guitars. Each guitar will be entirely hand built, to order, with the customer given the liberty of customising the guitar down to the last details, including types of woods and other materials used, finish on the metal parts, personalisation (embossing of logo or signature on the headstock) etc.
The end result will be a one of a kind musical instrument, that cannot be purchased in-store or online and that will be a thing of beauty and a family heirloom for generations to come.
As (at least initially) Erisa will be building every guitar, entirely by himself, we will be able to produce a maximum of 12 guitars a year. Once we have 12 orders, customers will have to enrol themselves on a waiting list.

Erisa Neogy was born in Kampala, Uganda, on 13th May 1963 to a Swedish mother, Charlotte Bystrom and an Indian father, the famous journalist of Indian origin, Rajat Neogy. Erisa’s family moved to Pondicherry, India in 1965 when Erisa was 2 years old and he grew up in the international township of Auroville. In 1982, Erisa moved to Santa Cruz, California, USA where entered into and completed his apprenticeship in guitar building, with Richard Hoover, founder and owner of Santa Cruz Guitars. Erisa lived in California for 14 years., during which he spent 4 years working on a fishing trawler, largely in coastal waters but in the fall they would venture out where the bottom of the Pacific Ocean, drops off into the abyss, hunting swordfish at over 150 nautical miles offshore and at depths of over 2.5 km.
In 1996, Erisa returned to India, Auroville and Pondicherry, to pursue his passion for fine musical instrument building. Since 1997 Erisa has been building guitars, both electric and acoustic, for professional musicians in India and abroad.
